Only 8% disbursed under telecom PLI in FY25

DISBURSEMENTS under the Production-linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for telecom manufacturing have been a paltry ₹13.75 crore against the revised estimate (RE) of ₹1,450.97 crore for 2024-25, a parliamentary committee on the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) revealed in its report recently.
Raising concern over the low disbursement of funds in the current financial year, the committee said in its report that "the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, aimed at encouraging telecom manufacturing, has seen only 8% utilisation, which is disappointing."
