K'taka deputy CM vows legal action against saffron party for distorting statement on 4% quota for Muslims in govt contracts
DEPUTY Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Monday said that he will initiate legal action against BJP for distorting his statement on 4% reservation to Muslims in contracts for government civil works.
His statement during an interview with a TV channel on Sunday led to a controversy with Union Minister JP Nadda raising it in the Rajya Sabha on Monday and seeking a clarification from Leader of Opposition and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge.
The BJP leadership stated that Shivakumar had only expressed the Congress' stand of changing the Constitution in favour of Muslims.
