The AIADMK and BJP have filed separate caveat petitions on Wednesday in the Supreme Court in the Anna University rape case, requesting the top court not to pass any order in the case without hearing them.

- SUCHITRA KALYAN MOHANTY @ New Delhi

While GS Mani filed the caveat petition in the SC on behalf of the BJP, lawyer Varalakshmi filed a plea on behalf of AIADMK.

The caveators in their plea said that they have filed the petitions arising out of the final judgment and order of December 28, 2024, passed by the High Court of Judicature at Madras in a writ petition.
