AMID ESCALATING tensions between India and Pakistan, Union Health Minister J P Nadda held a high-level meeting, reviewed the current readiness of healthcare infrastructure, including availability of essential medicines, medical supplies, and adequate fire safety measures across the country.

The Centre, on Friday, also set up a 24/7 control and command centre to monitor ongoing efforts and seamlessly support states, especially border states, during medical emergencies. "The Union Health Ministry is closely monitoring the situation and remains committed to ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services and emergency response across all regions," said a statement issued by the ministry.
