Woman Gynecologist Threatened; NCW Directs Police to Initiate Action

In an interesting development, the woman gynecologist, who had recorded the postmortem report of the rape and murder of 17-year-old girl Soujanya in Dharmastala in 2012, has been harassed and threatened by miscreants.
The incident of harassment came to light after the gynecologist approached the National Commission for Women, which held the Mysuru division 'Mahila Jan Sunwai' during the Rashtriya Mahila Aayog Aapke Dwaar programme held to address women's grievances and complaints at Zilla Panchayat auditorium in Mysuru on Tuesday. The grievances meet was chaired by NCW member Dr. Archana Majumder.
The gynecologist said that she and her husband, with their hard-earned money, constructed a house in Belthangady.
