Unemployment rate declined to 5.2% in July

THE unemployment rate in India declined to 5.2% in July from 5.6% in June, as per the data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) on Monday.
The unemployment rate for both men and women in the age group of 15 years and above was recorded at 5.4% between April and June 2025, according to the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) data.
