Police Crack 42 Theft Cases, Recover Valuables, Drugs

A total of 19 accused have been arrested, says Police Commissioner
CITY police have successfully solved 42 theft-related cases and seized valuables worth Rs 63 lakh, alongside cracking 11 narcotics cases in which drugs worth Rs 18.5 lakh were confiscated, all within the last two months.
Addressing the media on Monday, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar said the police had solved a series of property crimes, including eight chain snatchings, two house thefts, one theft by domestic help, 28 vehicle thefts, and three general thefts. From these cases, the police recovered 659 grams of gold, 1 kg of silver, 27 two-wheelers, one car, Rs 2.57 lakh in cash, and a laptop. A total of 19 accused have been arrested so far.
