MM Hills decked up for first-ever cabinet meeting

THE lush green Male Mahadeshwara Hills have been decked up for the first-ever cabinet meeting to be held at the hill shrine on Thursday.
Located on the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu border and on the banks of the Cauvery, MM Hills is brimming with festive fervour just like the Dasara celebrations. The temple and all surrounding buildings have been beautifully illuminated, with the 108-foot statue of Mahadeshwara at Deepadagithi emerging as a major attraction.
The roads leading to the shrine have been given a complete makeover. The area has been made plastic-free zone. Villages en route the hills are also decorated to welcome ministers and top bureaucrats for this landmark cabinet meeting.
The Male Mahadeshwara Development Authority has installed welcome arches, set up reception counters, and enhanced security across the shrine.
