J&K Presents ₹1.12L Cr Budget, Focus on Women and Inclusive Growth

IN the first by an elected government in over seven years, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday unveiled ₹1.12 lakh crore budget for Jammu and Kashmir, with sops for Economically Weaker Sections and free bus rides for women.
The last budget by an elected government was presented in the Assembly in 2018. The CM said the total net budget estimated for fiscal year 2025-26 is ₹1,12,310 crore.
The expected revenue receipts are ₹97,982 crore and capital receipts are ₹14,328 crore, he said.
