Demand for road: Tribals take to unique protest

DEPRIVED of a proper road for decades, villagers of Dadadahalli, a tribal hamlet coming under the Hancheepura gram panchayat in the forest fringes of Sarguru, took an unusual step to voice their plight. In a striking protest, they planted saplings right in the middle of the neglected, crumbling pathway, demanding immediate action from the authorities.
The absence of a proper road is not just an inconvenience — it is a crisis, pointed out Sunil T R of the All India People's Rights Protection Committee who have been protesting for a road in the village.
