There is an internal fight going on in Cong & there is pressure within party to cease its guarantees
"THE Congress high Command is making moves to replace Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. To carry out this task, efforts are being made to create a new post within the party for Siddaramaiah and promote him," claimed BJP MP P C Mohan.
Speaking to the media in Kolar on Tuesday, Mohan said, "There is an internal fight going on in the Congress. In addition, there is pressure within the party to cease its guarantee schemes, so that funds can be diverted for development projects. D K Shivakumar is aiming to become the next chief minister by visiting temples," said Mohan, taking a swipe at the Congress.
Responding to allegations of differences within the state BJP, he clarified, "Our high command is strong. The problem within our party will be resolved in the coming days. Vijayendra is doing a good job, and the high command will take the right decision."
"Leaders can express their opinion on the issue of selecting the state BJP president. However, everything depends on the high command's decision. I do not know anything about the change," Mohan insisted.
"A caste census survey is being conducted after 94 years. The BJP government led by Narendra Modi has taken a decision in this regard. It was supposed to be held once every 10 years. Yet, it has been 78 years since independence, and the Congress party did not consider it. For this to happen, the Modi government had to come to power," insinuated Mohan, taking a potshot at the Congress.
