Family members of 21 victims to get jobs in first phase after four years of struggle
In a long-awaited move, the state cabinet has finally approved employment for the kin of those who lost their lives in the Chamarajanagar District Hospital oxygen tragedy during peak Covid-19 pandemic in 2021.
The decision has brought much-needed relief to the bereaved families, who have been fighting for justice and support for over four years. The families, many of whom are in severe financial distress, had repeatedly appealed to the government, even resorting to protest threats and suicide warnings to draw attention to their plight.
