76-yr-old woman assaulted, robbed

A 76-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed of gold jewellery by a couple in Saligrama in KR Nagar taluk on Tuesday afternoon.
The police said the elderly woman Shaila, a resident of Haradanahalli village, was attacked by a young couple who took away her 50 gram gold chain worth ₹4 lakh. The elderly woman's relative, Anurag Urs, has registered a case at the Saligrama police station.
