BJP MLA Y Bharat Shetty says by filing a case against Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, govt is trying to weaken Hindutva forces
BJP leaders slammed the Congress government in the state over action against RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat and other Hindutva leaders, stating that it will worsen the situation in the region. BJP MLA Y Bharat Shetty in a press statement said that by filing a case against Bhat, the government is trying to weaken Hindutva forces and alleged that the law and order situation in the district has deteriorated due to their irresponsible governance and appeasement politics and not due to Hindutva leaders. "It seems that the government wants to worsen the situation further. They should know the consequences of trying to throw stones at the beehive," he said and demanded to withdraw the case.
He said the Constitution has given everyone the freedom to express their opinions and speak their minds. "Is it incitement if RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat speaks about the injustice being done to Hindu society? The voice of Hindus cannot be silenced by filing cases," Shetty said.
Further, he alleged that the police are harassing Hindutva leaders by storming into their houses at midnight under the pretext of questioning. "The behaviour is reminiscent of an emergency," he alleged.
