Udupi Rly Station to be Re-developed Under ABSS, Conceptual Drawings Ready

The Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) is set to submit a ‘conceptual drawing with estimates’ to the Railway Board for the re-development of Udupi railway station under the Union government’s Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS).
Udupi railway station, a crucial stop on the Konkan Railway line, was selected for modernisation under the scheme in January last year.
KRCL officials stated that the approximate cost of the re-development project is Rs 90 crore.
The re-development of this station was necessitated, as it was not developed since the KRCL was commissioned about 25 years ago.
Udupi railway station serves tourism, healthcare and education hub in and around Udupi.
