Child Protection Policy was framed in 2016 but majority of schools still haven't implemented it
A task force will be formed for effective implementation of RTE Act, Child Protection Policy in schools, Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act against beggary and Child labour act and functioning of Gram Sabhas.
Renni D'souza, Director, PADI Mangaluru, said that education department has failed to set-up Child Protection Policy in all schools, with begging and child labour cases being reported in Dakshina Kannada.
