Directs forest, Mescom officials to take immediate action to prevent any untoward incidents
DAKSHINA Kannada in-charge deputy commissioner Dr K Anand on Wednesday directed the officials to maintain a constant vigil on areas prone to floods in the district in view of the fast approaching monsoon.
Speaking at a meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority here, he said steps should be taken to prevent water stagnation in flood-prone areas. He asked the officials to visit such areas frequently to ensure that precautionary measures are in place.
