Blood stocks in DK hosps dip as donation camps see decline

BLOOD banks in Dakshina Kannada district are facing an acute shortage of blood this summer, following which the authorities have appealed to the public to donate blood in large numbers.
Normally, the demand for blood is high during April and May, as many plan elective surgeries during the holiday season. On the other hand, the blood donation comes down during this time, as the number of blood donation camps reduces due to college exams and the holiday season.
