71-Year-Old Woman Dies After Falling Into Open Well During Morning Walk

A 71-year-old woman suffering from mental illness for over three decades died after accidentally falling into an open well near her house in Belman village of Karkala taluk on Sunday morning.
The deceased, Florine Mathayas, was under treatment at Fr Muller's Hospital, Mangaluru. She had a habit of going for a morning walk at 5.30 am. On August 17, between 6 am and 6.30 am, when she went for a walk, slipped and fell into the well and died. Karkala rural police have registered a case under Section 194 of BNSS.
