Must ensure peaceful life for released prisoners: HC

Prison authorities in the state should inquire into the family acceptance of released prisoners and ensure they live peacefully, observed the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court recently.
A bench comprising Justices SM Subramaniam and AD Maria Clete made the observations after the government counsel submitted that prison authorities would ensure that those discharged prisoners, who are unable to reunite with their family, will be admitted to government homes or those run by NGOs or in any other appropriate area, if they make an applicatio
