IT services company Wipro on Thursday beat Street estimates and reported a 10.8% rise in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 2025 at ₹3,330 crore compared to ₹3,003 crore in the year-ago period.

This is after absorbing a one-time restructuring charge of ₹247 crore.

Its revenue from operations in Q1 stood at ₹22,134.6 crore, up 0.8% compared to ₹21,963.8 crore in the same quarter last year. The company expects revenue from its IT Services business segment to be in the range of $2,560 million to $2,612 million. This translates to sequential guidance of (-1.0)% to 1.0% in constant currency terms.

During the post-earnings press conference, Srini Pallia, CEO and managing director, Wipro said they started the quarter facing significant macro uncertainty that kept overall demand muted. "Our clients prioritised initiatives with immediate impact, focusing on cost optimisation and vendor consolidation. At the same time, they accelerated their AI, data, and modernisation programmes. We saw a clear trend of many AI projects moving to scale and production," he said.
