Fulfil 2021 poll promise, teachers and contract nurses urge TN government

DEMANDING that the state government fulfil their 10-point charter of demands, including the restoration of the old pension scheme, over 100 members of Tamil Nadu Elementary Teachers Organisations - Joint Action Committee (TETO-JAC) staged a dharna in front of the Kattabomman statue in the city on Thursday.
They urged the DMK-led government to fulfil its electoral manifesto regarding the old pension scheme. Further, they demanded that the government revoke G.O. number 243, which they claimed affects the promotions of elementary school teachers.
