Consider Plea on Ensuring Necessary Infra, Staff at Othakadai PHC: HC

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court recently directed the state health department to consider a plea which sought to ensure necessary infrastructure, equipment and staff at the government primary health centre (PHC) in Othakadai of Madurai district.

In his petition, N Abdul Rahman Jalal said that the above PHC caters to the medical needs of over 10 villages.

Nearly 3.83 lakh outpatients and 11,934 inpatients have undertaken treatment in the said centre in the past five years, he added.
