The incident in which a pregnant woman gave birth on the verandah of a ward at the Institute of Maternal and Child Health (IMCH) of the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital has sparked criticism.
The woman, who was admitted to ward 51, has been suffering from health issues related to varicose veins and was undergoing treatment at the Medical College.
