UDF moves no-trust motion in Chungathara panchayat with alleged support from Anvar

THE UDF has given a notice to move a no-confidence motion in the Chungathara panchayat in Nilambur, reportedly with the support of former Nilambur MLA P V Anvar and the Kerala state coordinator of Trinamool Congress. Both fronts currently hold 10 seats each in the panchayat and even if a single LDF member sides with the UDF, the opposition front will wrest control of the panchayat from the LDF.
According to sources, an LDF member, whose husband is a close aide of Anvar, is expected to vote for the UDF in the no-confidence motion.
