A MAN who robbed an elderly woman and pushed her off a moving train in Kozhikode has been taken into custody. Delhi native Wasim Akram was arrested from Panvel, Maharashtra, on Sunday by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Police. The police said Akram is part of a larger robbery gang.
The victim, 64-year-old Ammini Jose of Thalore, Thrissur, said she is relieved the accused has been caught but is yet to recover from the trauma. "My entire body still aches and I shiver whenever I recall the incident," she said.
