Rupee rallies 30 paise, highest in over 3 weeks
The New Indian Express Kozhikode
|March 06, 2025
THE rupee, which has been bleeding for long, made a dramatic recovery on Wednesday, rallying over 30 paise to close at 86.97 against the dollar from 87.27 in the previous session.
This is the highest single-day gain since February 11 when the unit had rallied by 65 paise.
The support was also reflective of the equity market rally to the tune of more than 1%, ending the longest-losing streak for the Nifty since the index was formed in 1996.
