'Meda,' the residence of environmentalist Babu Parambath, has been declared Kerala's first scientifically verified carbon-neutral house—a milestone achievement that underscores the possibilities of sustainable living in personal spaces.

The Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM) conducted a rigorous scientific evaluation of the house's energy use, water management, waste disposal systems, construction materials, and carbon sequestration. The findings affirm 'Meda' as a model of ecological balance and sustainable practice.
