DTPC is offering visitors immersive experience at key heritage sites with Augmented Reality
The Kozhikode District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) is pioneering a new era for regional tourism by seamlessly blending rich history with cutting-edge technology.
In a landmark initiative launched last month, the DTPC is offering visitors an immersive experience at key heritage sites using Augmented Reality (AR), starting with the historic Chaliyam Mullammel Kotta (Fort Chaliyam) as a pilot project. Already, 1,500 active sign-ins have been registered on the platform to experience AR-based information.
The DTPC officials have come up with the proposal to implement this technology and provide immersive experience to visitors during the Kozhikode Heritage Walk that covers the city's cultural landmarks.
