IN ANOTHER tragic incident, a man belonging to the tribal community was trampled to death by a wild jumbo in Noolpuzha on Monday evening.
The deceased is Manu, 45, of Paniya tribe in Velleri tribal settlement, at Kappad, a Tamil Nadu-Kerala border village, in Chettyalathur ward. Manu is the second person to die in a wild animal attack in the district in a month.
In January, a coffee plantation worker named Radha, 45, was killed in a tiger attack in Pancharakolli, Mananthavady. Also, exactly a year ago (February 10), an elephant named Belur Makhna had trampled Ajeesh, 47, to death in Mananthavady.
