Ensure no construction activities take place in Parunthumpara: HC

KERALA HIGH Court on Tuesday directed the state government to ensure that no construction activities take place in Parunthumpara in Idukki district without the no-objection certificate issued by the revenue authorities and without the permission of the local bodies concerned except in cases governed by court orders.
A Division Bench comprising Justice Anil K Narendran and Justice Muralee Krishna S also directed the Idukki District Police Chief to ensure that law and order is maintained in Parunthumpara and that no unauthorised construction takes place there. The court passed the order when a petition seeking to remove encroachments from the government land and illegal constructions in Munnar and other parts of Idukki district came up
