Vilangad rehabilitation: Min announces ₹6 crore more for removal of debris

REVENUE Minister K Rajan has announced an additional ₹6 crore to remove the debris from the landslide-hit Vilangad area in Vanimal grama panchayat in Kozhikode.
The minister added that the debris will be completely removed from the site by May.
He announced the extra allocation of funds at a review meeting held at the Kozhikode collectorate conference hall on Tuesday to assess the progress of the Vilangad rehabilitation activities.
Wards 9, 10 and 11 of Vanimal panchayats were severely affected in the multiple landslides that hit the area on July 29 last year. Several houses, roads and bridges were washed away and Vilangad town was submerged.
