A LEOPARD has been caught in a trap set for catching wild boars at Nedumbala Estate in Meppadi, Wayanad.
Forest officials reached the spot and tranquillised the animal. They will take further actions after examining the leopard's health. The wild cat's legs and stomach were tangled in a cable trap set up near the fence in the plantation on Sunday. Plantation workers noticed the trapped leopard and informed the authorities.
