KASP gets ₹300 crore breather to settle dues

THE Karunya Arogya Suraksha Yojana (KASP) has received an additional allocation of ₹300 crore, raising its total funding to ₹979 crore—44% above its original budget of ₹679 crore.
This is anticipated to provide significant relief to the state health agency, which administers the scheme, allowing it to settle outstanding dues owed to hospitals. Previously, many empanelled hospitals had hesitated to provide treatments under KASP due to accumulated dues totalling ₹1,300 crore.
