IIT Palakkad scientists turn old mobile phone batteries into medical sensors

IN a remarkable fusion of sustainability and science, researchers from IIT Palakkad have transformed toxic electronic waste into a powerful tool for medical diagnostics, opening up new frontiers in both healthcare and environmental conservation.
The innovative breakthrough is led by Dr Abdul Rasheed P, Prof Jagadeesh Bayry, and researchers from IIT Palakkad in collaboration Dr Soyebkhan Pathan and his team from Parul University, Gujarat, and they have developed an innovative method to upcycle e-waste into a valuable healthcare sensor.
