Dist Devpt Committee Takes Key Steps on NH Widening Issues

ADM C Padmachandrakurup, the acting district collector, has directed various departments to address issues linked to the development of the National Highway (NH) in response to concerns raised by MLA M V Govindan.
The directives were issued during a District Development Committee meeting held on Saturday following a letter from the MLA requesting a discussion on NH development challenges.
Key issues raised include the impact of the Taliparamba Kuppam River bridge construction. Soil dumped in the river during the project led to significant agricultural damage during recent rains, with private landowners losing sections of their properties.
