THE Vellarikundu police in Kasaragod have registered multiple cases after disagreements over the repair of a road at Pungamchal in West Eleri grama panchayat sparked a dispute and escalated into violence between two groups, resulting in injuries to both sides on December 13.
The issue arose when individuals using the mud road attempted to repair it using metal stones. Members of a family objected to it, saying the road extension encroached on their property.
