V'pura protests escalate over PPP med college plan

The protest against the government's proposal to set up a medical college in Vijayapura in Public Private Partnership (PPP) is getting intensified with more organisations joining the protest.
To exert pressure on the government to drop the proposal, a forum has been constituted, which has called for its first meeting on Wednesday to prepare their next course of action.
Meanwhile, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Partishat took out a rally on Tuesday to protest and had also planned to picket the office of the Deputy Commissioner.
