State folk festival will be held in Bidar by March-end or April: DC Shilpa

AT a preliminary meeting at the Deputy Commissioner's office meeting hall, Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Sharma said that a state-level folk festival will be organised in Bidar city in the last week of March or the first week of April under the special unit scheme of the Kannada and Culture department.
She said that the folk festival that will be reflecting the rural folk art, culture and heritage of the state, will be organised at the Nehru Stadium in Bidar city. Local and artistes from outside the district will participate in this folk festival and showcase various cultural programmes.
