Man becomes beast after drink: SC to doc who assaulted daughter

"MAN becomes a beast after having a drink. See the kind of things he (the accused doctor) has done (sexual assault) to his own child. You do not deserve any relief. He is a perverse guy, not entitled to any suspension," the Supreme Court said on Thursday while refusing to entertain a cardiologist's plea for suspension of sentence for sexually assaulting his seven-year-old daughter.
After the trial court convicted the doctor, he appealed to the Allahabad HC, challenging his sentence. As the HC could not take up the matter for hearing, he moved the top court seeking suspension of his sentence. Given the gravity of the case, the SC refused to suspend his sentence.
