Reddy says steps have been taken to overcome shortage of staff in the corporation by filling 10,000 posts
CONSIDERING the overcrowding of the public in the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses, it has been decided to purchase 2,000 new buses, said Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy at Madhwar Village of Yadgir on Wednesday.
Speaking after inaugurating a new bus stand on Wednesday, he said that women's travel in buses has increased due to the introduction of the Shakti Scheme and in the wake of public congestion, it has been decided to purchase 2,000 new buses soon, and about 600 to 700 buses will be provided for the Kalyana Karnataka region.
