Five Accused in Armed Robbery Arrested After Eight Months

In a significant breakthrough, Nesargi police arrested five individuals involved in an armed robbery that took place eight months ago at Budarkatti village in Bailhongal taluk, Belagavi.
The accused reportedly approached a local youth under the pretext of asking for directions and fled after snatching his bag at knife-point.
It may be recalled that on January 5, 2025, at approximately 10.30 am, Raju Advyappa Shivbasannavar (24), a resident of Budarkatti, was intercepted by unknown individuals on a motorcycle. They initiated a conversation by asking, 'Which village is this?' before threatening him with a knife and snatching his blue bag.
