First-ever district-level stage art literary conference held

THE first ever district-level stage art literary conference held at Kalaburagi and organised by the district unit of Kannada Sahitya Parishat on Thursday has urged through a resolution to the government to increase the pension being given to the senior stage artists as it is too meager.
The conference held under the chairmanship of the pontiff of Allolli Gadduge Mutt Nagappayya Swamiji, who is also patron of the stage art in the nearby villages of the mutt, also resolved to request the government to establish a drama education centre at Allolli and for the government to establish a Pratisthana (Foundation) in the names of senior drama artists L B K Aldal and late Hampayya Mah
