Expert: Green building gaining popularity in a faster way

THE green building concept is gaining popularity in a faster way in India and the country is in the top three position in the world with a total of 15,042 green buildings, said senior counsellor of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Rekha Mavulati.
Delivering the keynote address in the function to mark the inauguration of the Student Chapter of the IGBC in the Sharnbasva University, Kalaburagi, jointly organised by the Department of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Energy Engineering and Faculty of Architecture on Saturday, Mavulati said that the green building concept was relatively a new initiative but the growth of the concept was phenomenal.
