ED Attaches ₹5.88 Crore Worth Assets in K'buragi Medical College Stipend Scam

The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Mangalore Sub Zonal Office, has provisionally attached two immovable properties and several movable properties to the tune of Rs 5.88 crore (approximately) under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, in connection with Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College Kalaburagi Stipend scam, according to a press note issued by the Enforcement Directorate.
The press note stated that the immovable properties attached were acquired by main accused Bhimashankar Bilgundi (former president of HKE Society which runs Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College), in the names of his sons Rajkumar Bilgundi and Santosh Bilgundi, using the proceeds of crime.
