Doctor who donated ₹8 crore to KLE hosp, dies at 84 in US

Dr Sampath Kumar Sidramappa Shivanagi (84), a renowned psychiatrist originally from Athani town of Belagavi but residing in the United States for the past 50 years, passed away on Tuesday in Mississippi, USA.
Despite his long stay in the USA, Dr Shivanagi remained deeply connected to his roots. He generously supported numerous organisations in both the US and India. Notably, he donated Rs 8 crore to the KLE's Cancer Hospital in Belagavi, which was recently inaugurated by President of India Droupadi Murmu.
