Aviom Housing case: RBI files for insolvency

WITHIN days of superseding the board and appointing an administrator, the Reserve Bank has filed an insolvency petition at the New Delhi bench of the NCLT and has appointed a three-member panel of experts to advise the administrator of the housing finance firm Aviom India Housing Finance.
This Monday, the RBI, citing serious governance lapses and many payments defaults, had superseded the management and board of the Delhi-based Aviom and appointed Ram Kumar, an ex-chief general manager of PNB, as administrator.
