Amid Maha pressure, Ajit asks son to surrender 40-acre Pune land

AMID mounting pressure for his resignation over his son's controversial Pune land deal, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday stated that the deal stands cancelled.
His son, Parth Pawar, informed the revenue department of his intent and submitted the relevant papers.
The decision followed apprehensions that the scam may compel Ajit Pawar to resign from his post. Parth allegedly bought a 40-acre plot in Pune for ₹300 crore, against its actual price of ₹2,000 crore. Pawar clarified his position, saying, "Neither I nor my office made any phone calls, gave any help, or had any role or knowledge about this transaction at any stage."
