Gold hits ₹1.1 lakh mark on Fed rate cut hopes

Body Gold prices, which have rallied over 38% this year, on Tuesday rose ₹723/10 grams to hit an all-time high of ₹1,10,312 per 10 grams in the domestic future market, tracking global cues amid growing expectations of the US Federal Reserve interest rate cut next week.
The retail price also hit a new high, with Delhi prices touching ₹1,08,643 for 10 grams of 24 Karat gold, while the price crossed ₹10,000 mark per gram for in Kerala, which is the largest consumer of the yellow metal in the country.
