Real estate firm owner held for cheating people

DUNDIGAL police have arrested the owner of Sri Laxmi Constructions, Gurram Vijayalaxmi (48), for illegally constructing buildings on government lands and cheating people by selling these lands to them.
She was reportedly nabbed at the RGI Airport on Thursday at 3 am when she was allegedly planning to flee the country.
Currently, up to 260 victims have agreements with the Sri Laxmi Construction, sources said, adding a total of seven cases have been filed against Vijayalaxmi at Dundigal police station since 2021.
